Our Story
From the Crowsnest, by hand
A small family operation in the Pass, rendering tallow the way it was always meant to be done — slowly, carefully, with the mountains looking on.
Where it began
Earthfall started in a home with a frustration most people know: none of the creams worked. Eczema patches, dry winter skin, products full of ingredients we couldn't pronounce — and the gentle ones cost a small fortune.
So we went back to something older. Tallow. Rendered from grass-fed cattle raised on wild mountain pastures.
The land in every jar
Our tallow comes from one ranch in Jaffray, BC — cattle that spend their lives on grass, in air that smells like sage and pine. That diet matters. It's what gives the tallow its deep vitamin profile, its softness, its scent.
Everything is rendered slowly, in small batches, in the Crowsnest Pass. Slow heat preserves the nutrients. Patience preserves the integrity. There are no shortcuts here — there never have been, in these mountains.
Rooted in resilience
Anyone who's lived in the Pass knows the story of Frank Slide. On the morning of April 29th, 1903, a piece of Turtle Mountain fell. The community that grew back in the rockfield's shadow has always understood something about endurance — that what's strong endures, what's true endures, and that the land shapes the people as much as the other way around.
Earthfall is named for that. For the falling and the rebuilding. For trusting what the earth gives. We hope that when you open a jar, you feel a little of that mountain quiet — the kind that only comes from a place that knows how to wait.
